Kenya and Uganda Strengthen Bilateral Ties Through New Cooperation Agreements


H.E. Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, today hosted H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, at State House Nairobi for an official State Visit.

During the visit, the two Heads of State witnessed the signing of eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) designed to foster closer collaboration across key strategic sectors. These agreements aim to catalyze economic development, strengthen bilateral cooperation, and promote shared prosperity for the citizens of both nations.

Among the highlights was the signing of an MoU on Investment Promotion between the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest), represented by CEO Mr. John Mwendwa, OGW, and the Uganda Investment Authority, represented by Executive Director Mr. Robert Mukiza.

This landmark agreement establishes a framework for enhanced cooperation between the two institutions, paving the way for deeper economic and investment collaboration that will unlock opportunities for mutual growth and development.
