The Isiolo meat, airport, and city development project is a USD 47 million public-private partnership (PPP) initiative designed to transform Isiolo Town into a regional halal meat processing and export hub serving markets in the Middle East, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

The project combines livestock value chain development with infrastructure upgrades, including the modernization and extension of Isiolo International Airport to meet global export logistics standards. The airport will serve as the anchor investment, enabling the establishment of cold-chain facilities, export terminals, and supporting urban infrastructure. Strategically located in Kenya’s rangelands, Isiolo will leverage its livestock potential to drive industrialization, job creation, and regional trade integration.
