Invest Kenya Advances U.S.–Kenya Investment Engagement at 2026 AMCHAM Business Summit
Invest Kenya participated in the 2026 AMCHAM Business Summit, joining government leaders, investors, policymakers and business representatives to explore opportunities to strengthen trade and investment relations between Kenya, the United States and the wider East African region.
The Summit provided a platform to advance conversations on how Kenya can attract increased global investment by leveraging its competitive economy, strategic location, established business ecosystem and access to regional and continental markets.
With access to markets across the East African Community (EAC), COMESA and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Kenya offers investors a strategic base from which to serve the wider African market.
Enhancing the Investor Experience
At the Invest Kenya exhibition booth, the team engaged investors and stakeholders on the Authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance investor facilitation and create a more seamless experience for businesses looking to establish, expand or invest in Kenya.
A key focus was the Digital One Stop Centre, which brings together investment-related government services through a single digital platform, making it easier for investors to access information and navigate key processes associated with establishing and operating businesses in Kenya.
The team also highlighted Invest Kenya’s broader investment facilitation and aftercare services, which support investors throughout the investment journey, including market entry, establishment, expansion and retention.
Deepening U.S.–Kenya Investment Partnerships
Invest Kenya also hosted Susan M. Burns, Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, at its exhibition booth, accompanied by Paul Muthaura, CEO, AmCham Kenya.
The engagement provided an opportunity to share Kenya’s investment proposition and discuss ongoing initiatives to improve investor facilitation, including the Digital One Stop Centre and other measures aimed at creating a more efficient and investor-friendly business environment.
Through continued collaboration with the U.S. Government, American businesses and private-sector partners, Invest Kenya is working to unlock increased investment into Kenya, expand market access and strengthen commercial linkages between the two countries.
The United States remains an important economic partner for Kenya, with opportunities for increased investment and partnerships across sectors including manufacturing, digital economy and ICT, energy, infrastructure, financial services, healthcare, agribusiness and business process outsourcing.
Positioning Kenya for Global Investment
The Summit comes at a time when global capital is increasingly focused on competitive returns, market access, policy certainty and the availability of viable investment opportunities.
Invest Kenya continues to position Kenya to compete for global capital by connecting investors to opportunities, facilitating market entry, providing aftercare support and working with government and private-sector partners to strengthen the investment environment.
Through these efforts, Kenya is strengthening its position as a regional business hub and a gateway to the wider African market, while creating an environment where investors can establish, grow and scale their businesses.
Invest Kenya remains committed to facilitating investment, strengthening strategic partnerships and connecting investors with opportunities that support Kenya’s economic transformation.
