Invest Kenya and EAVCA Renew Partnership to Accelerate Private Capital Investment

Nairobi, 20 August 2026 — Invest Kenya and the East Africa Venture Capital Association (EAVCA) have renewed their partnership to mobilise and accelerate private capital investment into Kenya, strengthening the country’s position as a leading private capital hub in East Africa.

The renewed cooperation will connect investors with high-potential Kenyan businesses while strengthening investment intelligence and developing investable deal pipelines. The partnership is designed to bridge the gap between investor interest and actual capital deployment, supporting businesses with the potential to scale and attract both domestic and international investment.

The collaboration will focus on joint investment promotion activities, including targeted investment missions, roadshows and initiatives to develop and promote Kenya’s pipeline of investment opportunities. It will also facilitate the sharing of market intelligence and investment insights to support evidence-based decision-making by investors and other stakeholders.

Beyond capital mobilisation, the partnership will advance investor readiness, capacity building and policy engagement, contributing to a stronger investment ecosystem where businesses can scale and investors can deploy capital with greater confidence.

Speaking during the signing, Invest Kenya CEO John Mwendwa said private capital plays an important role in driving innovation, enterprise growth, industrialisation and job creation.

“Private capital is shaping the future of economic growth. Kenya continues to strengthen its position as one of Africa’s leading investment destinations, and our partnership with EAVCA will focus on mobilising private capital into priority sectors, advancing investment policy reforms, strengthening market intelligence and deepening public-private collaboration,” he said.

EAVCA CEO Christine Maina said the partnership would help create a stronger link between investors allocating capital and the public institutions responsible for shaping the investment environment.

The renewed partnership reinforces Invest Kenya’s commitment to working with private-sector stakeholders to unlock investment opportunities, strengthen Kenya’s competitiveness and translate investor interest into tangible investments, stronger enterprises and sustainable economic growth.

Through closer collaboration with EAVCA, Invest Kenya is positioning Kenya as a compelling destination for private capital and creating new pathways for investors to participate in the country’s growth story.
