Invest Kenya Deepens Partnership with Jumia, E-Commerce Giant Set to Expand

Invest Kenya recently visited Jumia Kenya as part of ongoing investor aftercare efforts, reaffirming its commitment to supporting existing investors and strengthening Kenya’s business environment.
Now in its 12th year in Kenya, Jumia employs over 400 people locally and operates across more than 340 towns nationwide. The NYSE-listed company is doubling down on its Kenyan investment with plans to expand its main warehouse by 100,000 sq. ft.
Through Jumia Market, Jumia Pay, and Jumia Logistics, the company has built an integrated ecosystem powering e-commerce, digital payments, and last-mile delivery, while its growing catalogue of Made-in-Kenya products continues to support local manufacturers and producers.
As one of Africa’s largest e-commerce players, Jumia’s growth is a strong signal of the momentum building in Kenya’s digital economy. Invest Kenya remains committed to resolving regulatory bottlenecks and fostering an enabling environment for investment and expansion.
